The Millennium Hotel London Mayfair is located in Grosvenor Square, which was built between 1725 and 1731 and is the second largest square in London, covering six acres in the centre of the Grosvenor Estate.

In 1815, Napoleon’s defeat at the Battle of Waterloo was publicly announced from a spot in Adams Row, where the “Waterloo Despatch” pub was subsequently built.

In 1966, a three-year programme to transform Nos 39-44 Grosvenor Square into The Britannia Hotel commenced. With 460 rooms, the hotel incorporated the “Waterloo Despatch” pub and the “Powder Keg” restaurant, named after the 1820 plot to murder the Cabinet and Prime Minister, and was operated by Grand Metropolitan.

The Britannia Hotel was purchased by Millennium & Copthorne Hotels on 07 October 1996 and operated as the Millennium Britannia Hotel.

In 2000, a major refurbishment and building project took place, involving the demolition of the “Waterloo Despatch” and “Powder Keg” to make way for a new Ballroom and Foyer, the Waterloo and Kendal Suites. The revamped hotel featured 336 guest bedrooms and was re-branded as the Millennium Hotel London Mayfair.

Situated in the affluent area of London’s West End, The Biltmore Mayfair is steps away from the finest shopping, dining and royal parks. Located on Grosvenor Square, the hotel is just a few minutes’ walk from New Bond Street, Oxford Street and Regent Street, while the leafy surroundings of Hyde Park are 7 minutes’ walk away.

The spacious rooms and suites reflect the building’s origin as an elegant London private residence. All feature Italian marble bathrooms, a Ruark sound system, smart TV, minibar, espresso machine and complimentary WiFi.

Guests can dine at Café Biltmore, Mayfair,overseen by Executive Chef Luis Campos. Café Biltmore is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and features a seasonally driven menu with dishes of wood-fired fish and meats, fresh seafood, signature salads and plant-based plates. In addition, guests can enjoy afternoon tea at The Tea Lounge, and an array of the finest wines and premium spirits prepared by expert mixologists at The Pine Bar.

The state-of-the-art gym is open 24 hours.
